Mystic Water Gardens Ponds
Steve Sandalis with Mystic Water Gardens has been building ponds out here for the last 15 to 18 years. He's got some pretty wicked stuff!
Two Ponds Filled with Koi Fish and a Couple Ducks make an Interesting Story
One epic thing about this pond that I'd never seen in my life: two ducks come every day from 9:30 in the morning to five o'clock where they go to the neighbor's pool for a half hour and then they go somewhere overnight. You don't know where they go overnight right—no idea.
Look at all the Koi
Look at all the Koi in the bottom of this pond right here first of all and then there's the Ducks! The Ducks are just sitting here like it's their house. This is just the bottom pond—you'll see a cool story.
Steve explains: The uppper pond originally being his swim pond and the lower pond the fish pond. The fish had eggs which went through the filter and all the way up over the waterfall. Steve says: One day I'm swimming in the upper pond and I see fish and I tell my son Stephan did you put fish in the pond? He's like, "No dad." So I figured out the eggs went through the filter to this pond off the waterfall and made babies and now four years later they're in my swim pond. Look how big they got! And you have all sorts of colors down there in 5.5 foot deep pond.
Backyard Koi Pond
Beautiful backyard view! Pond and canal and then a bridge and stream to the other connected pond with the ducks that visit every day! Check out the cool little sitting area. Up a walkway to stepping stones that are a homemade filter that goes through gravel and to the stream. Four years later a small tree never planted but growing from a seed that fell. You can see what nature does over time!
