Our Approach
Design
Steve and Team spend a lot of time developing water features of “natural complexity”. That means a design that involves nature’s randomness…its interesting shapes and intriguing textures…its rivulets of water that divide and then re-combine. This approach not only re-creates nature’s true character but even allows for “tuning” the sound of the water to fit the setting.Water
We at Mystic are big proponents of making waterscapes self sustaining, just like they are in nature. Rather than deploying elaborate filtration equipment for a job that nature itself can handle, we use hyacinths, water lettuce and lilies, the plant world’s own water filters. They’re not only beautiful, they promote clean, clear water, and they are very low maintenance.People
Says Steve, “we take our cues from clients in developing a design that fits their lifestyle personal tastes and investment.” He and his team of Craftsmen study the lay of a client’s land. They think through possible focal points and transitions. Then they design a waterscape (complete with rocks, plants and fish) with one goal: To make a home or business look as if it was built next to existing work of nature, not the other way around.
